Switch Up Ads on Hulu

For those who don’t know, Hulu- an online video provider now allows you to choose your ads. It requires you to start the ad from the beginning even when another ad is in progress, but by sacrificing a few seconds of your life, you can save 27 seconds of misery of watching an ad you’ve seen five times.

The feature is called Hulu ad swap, and it’s not so new, but the implementation strategy is. Through a little button in the top right corner of the video that you scroll over, users can choose from around 4 other choices of ads which produces more targeted advertising, and happier users.

I was so happy to replace that stale Regis and Kelly TD Bank and with an Intel commercial. This new feature is the best addition to their decent new player they’ve recently implemented. I happened to be a fan of their old player, but that’s just me.
