How To Get A Space in Your Youtube Username: The Answer

Hello fellow nerds,

I’m assuming that if you are not viewing this via RSS or email (Hi email Subscribers) you probably want a Youtube username with a space. Well, today I have a solution for you. First of all, know that for now you cannot change your Youtube username, so you will need a new Google account, or to delete your old google account before you continue.

  1. Create a new Google account at Gmail.com. In the name section use the first and last name answer boxes to fill in the name of your channel.
  2. Go to Google+ and create an account using the name of your channel. Beware of their name verification system.
  3. Go onto a Youtube video and go to the add a comment area.
  4. If it asks you to create a channel name, you did it wrong. You should see your Google+ info on the right side. This is your social channel. Note that since there is a space, your channel has no easy youtube.com/yourchannelhere. Instead, your channel url is a long string of numbers. This will likely be corrected later on, but if you want a space in your channel name, this is how you do it. Enjoy!
