Google’s Brand Getting Cloudy

Once again, Google has launched a new product. This time it happens to be cloud storage (drive.google.com), but I’m curious how different this can possibly be from Dropbox. They give you 5 GB free upon sign-up, and it syncs to your local folders. So it’s the same thing as dropbox. Literally the same. The pricing on storage looks cheaper, but until I’m invited into the program (they’re doing a soft release) I will not be able to comment on HOW this is different from Dropbox.

Yet another product Google Copied or designed a product to compete with. Here’s a list of some competitors in the past, and how I rate them.

Yahoo mail/AOL ETC.= Gmail: Well done, and original
Itunes/Spotify- Google Music: Good player, poor store setup.
Youtube-Google Videos: Before they bought Youtube, they made an attempt, and it FAILED
Flickr- Picasa: Success
IOS-Android: Depends who you ask
I’ll add more here later.
