Twitter- A Frequent flyer for Airlines

Jetblue Twitter Support Room

In the Airline industry the service seems to get worse and worse every day and airlines have become less accessible. People wait on the phone from five minutes to two hours when the airlines are busy just to talk to some indian call rep. We’ve all been on that phone call before.

Airlines such as Delta, and Jetblue are working to change that by flocking to Twitter.

For example Jetblue has a team of 17 real trained employees that sit in a room watching a big board of people tweeting them and answering questions.

In my tests they sent not one but two responses to my tweet within five minutes. These Twitter accounts are using social media to make employees available 24/7 to all. Tweet them from the airport using the Twitter App with a problem and they will solve it.

Here’s a list of accounts to send a tweet to:

  1. @AmericanAir
  2. @Jetblue
  3. @DeltaAssist
  4. @United
  5. @SouthwestAir

Good Luck!
