Review: The Clapper For iPhone: Oh Yes They Did

The other day I was thinking of “The Clapper”- the device that lets you turn things on and off with a clap and I started to wonder if there was a clapper for iphone. After some searching I found out that of course… there was. The app is called ClapLight and goes for $.99 on the app store. I bought it and tried it out.

First of all this app works best with the iphone 4 and 4s because the LED on the camera is needed like most flashlight apps. This doesn’t do anything too fancy. Clap twice to turn the light on. Clap twice to turn it off. The accuracy of the app wasn’t great because it doesn’t always pick up the claps. For me I had to go to the setting and turn the sensitivity down for it to work. It was fun though.

Bottom Line: Not a great app but if you want some cool nostalgia and a flashlight app then this is a decent choice. (BTW You can turn on and off the flashlight using a button if you need to)
App Rating:  Decent
