I’ve seen a ridiculous amount of WordPress sites that were hacked because they simply didn’t have the latest version of WordPress, and there were holes which hackers got into and destroyed their site. So don’t ask “Do I need to upgrade WordPress?”. Yes, you do need to upgrade wordpress.
Don’t just believe me though. I’ve seen Google engineers professing this as well. In one presentation, three of the five Google Engineers had their own personal websites hacked because they forgot to update their wordpress.
So how do you update your WordPress Installation to 3.5 (the latest release)? You can do it at the push of a button from your dashboard. It’s so simple that there is no excuse for you not to, so as they say in Spain, “Hagen Ahora” (do it now).
