Siri and Nicknames: Tutorials

We all have nicknames for people we care about, but sometimes we need real names in our contacts too, and Siri can get tripped up. Here’s how to make sure Siri understands both names and nicknames.

  1. Go into your contacts app.
  2. Tap on the contact where you want to add a nickname
  3. Tap edit in the right hand corner
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap “add field”.
  5. Tap “Nickname” and fill it in as you would any name.
  6. Save and Enjoy.
